Nine years ago,  I made a travel bucket list and El Nido was the very first entry I wrote down. I had already moved to Canada at that time and I figured if I were to begin exploring it would start off in the Philippines. So I kept a postcard of this paradise in my journal and patiently waited for the moment when I can finally capture my own perfect shot. This year, the opportunity finally came and it is definitely one of the highlights of my life.

El Nido boasts of turquoise green waters and limestone cliffs. All the international travel sites rave about how beautiful it is and I can only confirm what has been said about it. This place is worth visiting at least once in your life. We stayed at a bed & breakfast right at the heart of the small beach town.

There are so many things to do including the popular island hopping tours that allow you to truly get to know what El Nido is all about. There are also plenty of places to eat along the beach that serve fresh seafood cooked to your liking.  I wish I was able to stay longer but I will forever cherish the few sunny days that I was able to spend here.

I’m so thankful for my family who made this trip possible and allowed me to check off my dream destination.
